House Demolition
We tear down houses, garages and outbuildings across Tampa Bay. The slab and footers come out and the debris leaves on our own dump trucks. The ground gets graded flat for whatever comes next.
Concrete removal is the demolition side of concrete work in Tampa, FL. We break out old driveways, patios, pool decks, sidewalks and slabs, then load every piece into our own dump trucks. A cracked driveway weighs several tons once it is broken up. Breaking the slab is the quick part. Moving that weight off the property is the work. Older parts of Tampa are full of cracked driveways and settled slabs. Most of them have to come out before anything new goes down. The removal has to happen before the new pour or the re-grade can start.
Construction Site Development is a family business run by two brothers, Daniel and Pedro Gonzalez. We formed the LLC in 2018 and carry a second-generation family background in construction. Daniel is on the job sites himself, and some days he is the one driving the dump truck. We run as a registered motor carrier, USDOT 3805736, so the trucks hauling your concrete are ours. We work out of the Citrus Park area of Tampa. Our trucks run across Hillsborough County, into Pinellas and up through Pasco. Concrete removal sits next to the excavation and site preparation work we do every week.

Most of our concrete removal work is residential. Driveways are the biggest piece of it, usually a slab that has cracked or lifted at the joints. We also take out back patios, pool decks, sidewalks, front walkways and porch slabs. On lots where a house or garage came down, we break out the old foundation and footers. That is the last step of a full house demolition. Concrete demolition on a lot like that is heavier work than a patio. Shed pads, mailbox bases, walkway steps and old post footings are small jobs. We take those too when the equipment is already on the property.
Breaking concrete is loud, quick work. The hauling is what takes the day. We break the slab with an excavator, then load the pieces with a skid steer or a loader. The machines are ours and so are the dump trucks. A 4-inch slab weighs about 50 pounds per square foot, so a small driveway can run past 10 tons. A truck hits its weight limit well before the bed looks full. Because we run our own trucks, the pieces leave as we break them. On most residential jobs the concrete is off the property the same day.
We price concrete removal by what it weighs and how hard it is to reach. Thickness comes first. A patio poured at 4 inches breaks up fast. A thicker driveway poured for truck traffic takes longer. Rebar and wire mesh inside the slab slow it down. The steel has to be cut before the pieces move. Square footage sets the total tonnage and the number of truck loads. Then there is access. A driveway at the street loads straight into the truck. A pool deck behind a locked gate takes more handling per piece.
Nobody can price a slab from a photo. We come out, look at the concrete and check the thickness at a broken edge. We also look at where a truck can park. Estimates are free, and we give you a number for the whole job, breakout and haul-off together. Sometimes the removal is one step in a bigger project. We can price it alongside the excavation or the fill dirt you need after. Call 813-453-5883 and we will set a time to come look at it.
Pull a slab and you find soft ground underneath. There is usually a layer of sand or crushed base rock under the old pour. It sits loose once the concrete is gone. We rake it out and pull the leftover chunks along the edges. We pick broken pieces out of the dirt too. Buried chunks turn into a problem the next time someone digs. On a driveway job we stop the breakout at a straight line where the old concrete met the garage floor. That gives the new pour a clean edge to start from.
What comes next depends on your plan. If you are pouring new concrete, the pad needs to be level and compacted before the forms go in. If the slab is coming out for good, the low spot gets filled and graded. The finished grade should carry water away from the house. Either way we can bring in fill dirt with the same trucks. The grading happens while the machines are already on site. Tell us what is going in after the concrete comes out. We will leave the ground set up for it.

Our land clearing services cover overgrown lots across Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties. Excavators and skid steers take out underbrush, palmettos, stumps, and trees. Our dump trucks haul the debris off before we leave.
We are an excavation contractor in Tampa, FL. Our excavators dig foundation pits, pool holes, drainage lines, and utility trenches on residential lots. Tampa Bay sand and a high water table change how a hole is cut, and we plan for both.
We do land grading on residential lots across Tampa Bay. Our excavators and skid steers cut the high spots and fill the low ones. The finished slope carries storm water away from your foundation and out to the street or a swale.
We take a raw lot to a build-ready pad. That covers stripping topsoil, cut and fill, stem wall backfill, and compaction in lifts. Your pad ends up at plan elevation, ready for the engineer to test and the slab crew to start.
We take a raw or teardown lot to a site your builder can start on. Clearing, digging, cut and fill, drainage and final grade run on one schedule. Our own dump trucks haul the dirt.
Two brothers run the company and carry on their family's work in the construction field. One of them is on the job sites himself. The people who price your job are the people who do it.
Our own dump trucks run under USDOT 3805736, and our own excavators and skid steers do the loading. Debris leaves on our schedule, not a bin company's. The teardown and the haul-off are one job and one price.
Demolition, clearing, excavation, grading, fill and the pad, handled by the same team in one sequence. No waiting on a second sub to show up. The lot moves from standing house to build-ready ground without a handoff.
