House Demolition
We tear down houses, garages and outbuildings across Tampa Bay. The slab and footers come out and the debris leaves on our own dump trucks. The ground gets graded flat for whatever comes next.

Palm Harbor sits at the top of Pinellas County, between Lake Tarpon and St. Joseph Sound. Palm Harbor has no city hall of its own. It is unincorporated, so Pinellas County runs the permits and inspections here. We handle demolition and site work from the Citrus Park area of northwest Tampa. Palm Harbor is one of the shorter runs on our Pinellas map. The drive tracks the Lake Tarpon side and drops us into north county early in the day. That matters when a demolition job needs dump trucks in and out all day. Our trucks are our own, so we set the haul schedule.
Palm Harbor grew fast in the 1980s. The population went from about 5,000 in 1980 to more than 50,000 by 1990. Whole subdivisions went up in that stretch, and those houses are now decades old. Older pockets go back much further. Ozona and Crystal Beach hold cottages from the early 1900s. Old Palm Harbor has bungalows on shaded streets near Florida Avenue. The county keeps a master plan for that historic downtown. Palm Harbor also has a hilly feel that is uncommon in Florida. Lake Tarpon sits on the east side and St. Joseph Sound on the west. Water is never far from a job here.

Most demolition work in Palm Harbor happens on a lot that already holds a house. A 1970s ranch may come down so a bigger house can go up. Garage and shed teardowns are common in subdivisions like Highland Lakes and Ridgemoor. In Ozona and Crystal Beach, the buildings are older and the lots are tight. Water or a canal often sits close to the work. We match the excavator size to the lot. On a narrow street, a smaller machine and extra truck trips work better.
Before the machines touch the house, the utilities have to be cut and capped. Power, water, gas, and sewer each have their own step. The county wants that done first. Houses built before the 1980s usually need an asbestos survey before demolition starts. That is a normal part of the process on older Palm Harbor stock. Once the structure is down, we haul the debris out in our own dump trucks. Concrete removal comes next, so the slab and the old driveway leave the lot too. Then we run land grading over the ground so the site is ready for the next trade.
Palm Harbor does not sit flat. Ground level changes across the area, and most of Pinellas County is level by comparison. That slope decides where rain goes once it hits the yard. Curlew Creek drains this part of northwest Pinellas out to St. Joseph Sound. The county has tracked erosion and sediment along those channels for years. The same forces show up smaller on a single home lot. Water runs down the slope and pools at the low corner of the yard. It sits against a slab or the side of the house.
French drain installation is the usual fix when water pools in one spot. We dig the trench and set perforated pipe in rock. The line runs out to a place where the water can leave. Some yard drainage problems call for land grading instead. We reshape the surface and pitch it away from the house. Low lots take fill dirt delivery, and we spread and compact the fill in lifts. Land clearing comes first on wooded parcels near Lansbrook and the East Lake side. Excavation and site preparation follow, and the building pad gets cut to the elevation the plan calls for.

We are an excavation contractor in Tampa, FL. Our excavators dig foundation pits, pool holes, drainage lines, and utility trenches on residential lots. Tampa Bay sand and a high water table change how a hole is cut, and we plan for both.

We do land grading on residential lots across Tampa Bay. Our excavators and skid steers cut the high spots and fill the low ones. The finished slope carries storm water away from your foundation and out to the street or a swale.

We take a raw lot to a build-ready pad. That covers stripping topsoil, cut and fill, stem wall backfill, and compaction in lifts. Your pad ends up at plan elevation, ready for the engineer to test and the slab crew to start.

We take a raw or teardown lot to a site your builder can start on. Clearing, digging, cut and fill, drainage and final grade run on one schedule. Our own dump trucks haul the dirt.

Standing water in the yard and water against the slab call for the same fix. We dig a gravel trench with perforated pipe in the bottom. The line slopes to a discharge point away from the house. Catch basins and downspout tie-ins handle the water where it starts.

We set new driveway culverts and replace crushed or rusted pipes. Where the permit allows it, we pipe an open roadside ditch and grade over it. Our own dump trucks haul the old pipe and spoil away and bring fill in.
