Concrete Removal
We break out old driveways, patios, pool decks and slabs across Tampa Bay. Our own dump trucks haul the broken concrete off the property. The breakout and the disposal happen on the same job. Free estimates before any work starts.
House demolition in Tampa is usually one of three jobs. An infill teardown on an older street, where a small house comes down for a new build. A storm damaged home that took wind or water from Helene or Milton. Or a garage, shed or carport that has outlived its use. Concrete block houses and wood frame houses come apart differently. Block leaves far more weight to load and haul. We plan the order of the teardown around the roof, the walls and the access before a machine starts. When we pull off the lot the debris is gone in our own dump trucks. The slab and footers are out of the ground, and the dirt is graded so water runs off.
Construction Site Development works house demolition out of the Citrus Park area of Tampa. We cover Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties. Our excavators, skid steers, wheel loader and dump trucks all belong to the company. The teardown and the haul off stay one job on one schedule. Most teardowns are the first step in something else. Once the structure is gone we can move on to grading and leveling the lot. Clean fill packs the footprint back level. From there the lot can go on to a build ready pad. We look at every teardown at the property before we price it.

The permit comes from the building department that covers the address. The City of Tampa issues a demolition permit for city addresses on the same day. An inspection has to be called in once the site is ready, before the teardown starts. An unincorporated Hillsborough County address goes through HillsGovHub, the county permitting system. Hillsborough County also wants a recorded certified copy of the Notice of Commencement before the first inspection. That form comes from Florida Statute 713.13, and the owner has to sign it. No one else may sign in the owner's place. A St. Petersburg address goes through the city building department.
Asbestos comes next. Only a consultant licensed by the State of Florida may conduct an asbestos survey. Only a licensed asbestos contractor may do the removal, and that work happens before we start. Every demolition permit carries an asbestos notification statement. It points to Florida Statute 469.003, which sets who may survey and remove asbestos. Utilities have to be signed off before the permit clears. Hillsborough County wants sign offs from its Public Utilities Department, Tampa Electric, the gas provider and the phone data provider. Tampa requires electric and gas sign offs on its own demolition form. Florida law also requires notice to the state one call system two full business days before a demolition. Then the house comes down and the material gets sorted and loaded. The slab and the pool deck come out of the ground last.
Price follows weight and access. A bigger house holds more material, and a two story holds more again. Concrete block, a tile roof and a thick slab all add tons that have to be hauled and dumped. Footers add more. Haul distance and disposal weight move the number as much as the teardown itself. A narrow infill lot with a house on each side slows the machines down. The work has to stay inside the property lines. If an asbestos survey comes back positive, the abatement happens first and adds cost.
How much fill the lot needs afterward is part of the price too. A deep slab void and open footer trenches take clean fill, packed in lifts. Bundling the teardown with the grading and the fill keeps one company and one set of trucks on the lot. We price the whole job in one number after we see the property. Estimates are free and in person. Call (813) 453-5883 and we will set a time. Published market ranges for a Tampa teardown sit in our Tampa teardown price breakdown. They break out by house size and build type.
Older Tampa streets were laid out narrow. A teardown there often sits a few feet off the line with an occupied house on the other side. We work the roof and walls in sections and pull the material inward. The debris drops on our side of the line. Trees are the other constraint. Protected trees in the city include oaks, pines and elms. Any tree five inches or more in diameter, measured four and a half feet up, needs a permit to come out. In unincorporated Hillsborough County you have to preserve any tree marked as a Grand Oak unless the county authorizes removal. Lots buried in brush usually need clearing the overgrowth off the lot first.
Hillsborough County requires protective barriers around trees that stay on the site during land alteration and construction. The barrier goes at the canopy dripline, stands at least three feet tall, and the ground inside it stays undisturbed. In the City of Tampa a construction project carries a tree removal and site clearing statement. A tree violation on the site can bring a notice of violation or a stop work order. Flood zone rebuilds are common around the bay. Hillsborough County calls a building substantially damaged when repair costs reach 50 percent of its market value. The structure then has to meet current flood rules. Some of these houses come down instead of getting patched. We run teardowns in Lutz, Brandon, St. Petersburg and Wesley Chapel.

Tell us what needs to come down, get cleared, or get filled. A few photos help. We cover Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties from our Tampa base.
An owner prices the job at the property, free. We check the structure, the ground, and the access, then give you one number for the whole job.
Our own excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks. The teardown, the dirt work, and the hauling stay with one company, so the schedule holds.
Debris goes out on our trucks. The ground gets graded flat, the street gets cleaned up, and the lot is ready for whatever comes next.

We deliver fill dirt across Tampa Bay in our own dump trucks. Most dirt pits drop the load and leave. We bring the machine too, so the fill gets spread and packed down where you want it.
We take a raw lot to a build-ready pad. That covers stripping topsoil, cut and fill, stem wall backfill, and compaction in lifts. Your pad ends up at plan elevation, ready for the engineer to test and the slab crew to start.
Two brothers run the company and carry on their family's work in the construction field. One of them is on the job sites himself. The people who price your job are the people who do it.
Our own dump trucks run under USDOT 3805736, and our own excavators and skid steers do the loading. Debris leaves on our schedule, not a bin company's. The teardown and the haul-off are one job and one price.
Demolition, clearing, excavation, grading, fill and the pad, handled by the same team in one sequence. No waiting on a second sub to show up. The lot moves from standing house to build-ready ground without a handoff.
We run out of the Citrus Park area of Tampa and work Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties every week. Short runs mean machines show up when we said they would. Call and you get an owner, not a call center.
Straight from the property owners we have worked for.
Worked with them several times. On time and they do great work!
