House Demolition
We tear down houses, garages and outbuildings across Tampa Bay. The slab and footers come out and the debris leaves on our own dump trucks. The ground gets graded flat for whatever comes next.

Lutz sits about 15 miles north of Tampa, and it is the closest market to our base. We work out of the Citrus Park area, and Gunn Highway runs from there over to Lutz. That puts us minutes away with an excavator on the trailer. Lutz has no city hall of its own. It is an unincorporated place in Hillsborough County, and its north end reaches into Pasco County. Four ZIP codes carry that address, and they cross the county line. So a demolition permit comes from whichever county the lot actually sits in.
Housing here splits between old and new. Along US 41 and the old town center, you find houses from the 1970s and 1980s on wide lots. Wooded parcels of one to five acres run up toward the county line. Lakefront homes ring Crenshaw Lake and the smaller private lakes around it. Newer gated communities like Cheval and Heritage Harbor filled in from 1989 onward. Water covers close to a tenth of Lutz, and the ground under it is fine sand. That mix is why our Lutz work runs across demolition, land clearing, excavation and land grading. Site preparation, french drain installation, fill dirt delivery and concrete removal fill out the rest.

A lot of Lutz teardowns start the same way. Someone buys a 1970s house on a lake or on a few acres. The land is worth more than the structure standing on it. We bring in an excavator and take the house down in pieces, starting at the roof line. Debris gets loaded into our own dump trucks and hauled off as the work goes. Older houses need an asbestos survey before demolition starts. Utility sign-offs have to be in hand first, and power, gas, phone and water all get released by their providers.
Once the structure is gone, the hole matters as much as the house did. We pull the slab and footers, then take out the old driveway and any concrete pads. The excavation gets backfilled with clean fill dirt and compacted in layers. That keeps the ground from settling under a new foundation. Then we grade the lot so water drains away from the build site. Near a lake we watch where that water goes once it leaves the pad. Plenty of owners have us handle site preparation and the building pad for the new house.
North and west of the town center, lots run one to five acres under heavy tree cover. Land clearing on those parcels starts with the trees and ends with the roots. We pull the stumps and root balls, then rake the debris into piles for hauling. Stumps ground in place leave wood in the soil, and rotting wood opens holes later. Our skid steers and excavators do the clearing, and our dump trucks move the material off the lot. What is left is a workable lot ready for a build or a fence.
Yard drainage is the call we get most after a wet summer. The soil here is fine sand, and it drains fast until it reaches the water table. In the wet season that table can sit within a foot of the surface. Water that soaks away in April will stand in the yard in August. We start with land grading, and we move the high spots into the low ones so the lot sheds water. Where slope alone cannot do it, french drain installation carries water to ground that can take it. On low lots beside a lake, fill dirt delivery raises the pad before anything else happens.

We are an excavation contractor in Tampa, FL. Our excavators dig foundation pits, pool holes, drainage lines, and utility trenches on residential lots. Tampa Bay sand and a high water table change how a hole is cut, and we plan for both.

We do land grading on residential lots across Tampa Bay. Our excavators and skid steers cut the high spots and fill the low ones. The finished slope carries storm water away from your foundation and out to the street or a swale.

We take a raw lot to a build-ready pad. That covers stripping topsoil, cut and fill, stem wall backfill, and compaction in lifts. Your pad ends up at plan elevation, ready for the engineer to test and the slab crew to start.

Standing water in the yard and water against the slab call for the same fix. We dig a gravel trench with perforated pipe in the bottom. The line slopes to a discharge point away from the house. Catch basins and downspout tie-ins handle the water where it starts.

We set new driveway culverts and replace crushed or rusted pipes. Where the permit allows it, we pipe an open roadside ditch and grade over it. Our own dump trucks haul the old pipe and spoil away and bring fill in.
